"Counting Deer, and Counting on Hunting to Cull Them" - Andrea Kannapell

The suburban housing development encourage the deer population to increase because of the increased amount of food sources. Another reason is the decrease of land for hunting, while the suburban housing development continues to increase. In some places in the U.S. the deer population is higher than the human population. This will slow down and force out some animal and plant species, just like the humans. According to opponents of hunting, killing deer encourages the increased amount of fertility and allow the deer population to regulate itself better in a biological reaction as a better solution. There are also natural techniques of controlling populations which are starvation and disease. They are a poor solution.
